When the living beings moved, the wheels moved, and when they stopped moving, the wheels stopped. ¹  When they rose up from the ground, the wheels rose up from the ground; the wheels rose up beside them because the spirit of the living being was in the wheel.

For every kind of animal, bird, reptile, and sea creature ¹  is subdued and has been subdued by humankind. ² 

God said, “Let the water swarm with swarms ¹  of living creatures and let birds fly ²  above the earth across the expanse of the sky.”

God said, “Let the land produce living creatures according to their kinds: cattle, creeping things, and wild animals, each according to its kind.” ¹  It was so.

And God said, “This is the guarantee ¹  of the covenant I am making ²  with you ³  and every living creature with you, a covenant ⁴  for all subsequent ⁵  generations:

Wherever the spirit ¹  would go, they would go, ²  and the wheels would rise up beside them because the spirit ³  of the living being was in the wheel.

These were the living creatures ¹  which I saw at the Kebar River underneath the God of Israel; I knew that they were cherubim.

But ¹  these men, ²  like irrational animals – creatures of instinct, born to be caught and destroyed ³  – do not understand whom ⁴  they are insulting, and consequently ⁵  in their destruction they will be destroyed, ⁶ 

then I will remember my covenant with you ¹  and with all living creatures of all kinds. ²  Never again will the waters become a flood and destroy ³  all living things. ⁴ 

You crushed the heads of Leviathan; ¹  you fed ²  him to the people who live along the coast. ³ 

God created the great sea creatures ¹  and every living and moving thing with which the water swarmed, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. God saw that it was good.

Wild animals will rest there, the ruined ¹  houses will be full of hyenas. ²  Ostriches will live there, wild goats will skip among the ruins. ³ 

Over the heads of the living beings was something like a platform, ¹  glittering awesomely like ice, ²  stretched out over their heads.

and the sound of the living beings’ wings brushing against each other, and the sound of the wheels alongside them, a great rumbling sound.

And no creature is hidden from God, ¹  but everything is naked and exposed to the eyes of him to whom we must render an account.

By his sovereign plan he gave us birth ¹  through the message of truth, that we would be a kind of firstfruits of all he created.

And whenever the living creatures give glory, honor, ¹  and thanks to the one who sits on the throne, who lives forever and ever,

Then ¹  I looked and heard the voice of many angels in a circle around the throne, as well as the living creatures and the elders. Their ²  number was ten thousand times ten thousand ³  – thousands times thousands –

I looked on when the Lamb opened one of the seven seals, and I heard one of the four living creatures saying with a thunderous voice, ¹  “Come!” ² 

And all the angels stood ¹  there in a circle around the throne and around the elders and the four living creatures, and they threw themselves down with their faces to the ground ²  before the throne and worshiped God,
