If I do not perform ¹  the deeds ²  of my Father, do not believe me.

Then many of the people, ¹  who had come with Mary and had seen the things Jesus ²  did, believed in him.

for on account of him many of the Jewish people from Jerusalem ¹  were going away and believing in Jesus.

But many of those who had listened to ¹  the message ²  believed, and the number of the men ³  came to about five thousand.

The ¹  hand of the Lord was with them, and a great number who believed ²  turned ³  to the Lord.

For Christ is the end of the law, with the result that there is righteousness for everyone who believes.

For with the heart one believes and thus has righteousness ¹  and with the mouth one confesses and thus has salvation. ² 

For the scripture says, “Everyone who believes in him will not be put to shame.” ¹ 

Whether then it was I or they, this is the way we preach and this is the way you believed.

Just as Abraham believed God, and it was credited to him as righteousness, ¹ 

As a result you became an example ¹  to all the believers in Macedonia and in Achaia.

And so ¹  all of them who have not believed the truth but have delighted in evil will be condemned. ² 

So ¹  we see that they could not enter because of unbelief.

Now who is the person who has conquered the world except the one who believes that ¹  Jesus is the Son of God?

(The one who believes in the Son of God has the testimony in himself; the one who does not believe God has made him a liar, because he has not believed in the testimony that God has testified concerning his Son.) ¹ 

But if you ever turn away and make alliances with ¹  these nations that remain near you, ²  and intermarry with them and establish friendly relations with them, ³ 

If my footsteps have strayed from the way, if my heart has gone after my eyes, ¹  or if anything ²  has defiled my hands,

He ¹  said, “The time is fulfilled and the kingdom of God ²  is near. Repent and believe the gospel!”

(For the Pharisees and all the Jews do not eat unless they perform a ritual washing, ¹  holding fast to the tradition of the elders.

So ¹  he said to them, “You ²  foolish people ³  – how slow of heart ⁴  to believe ⁵  all that the prophets have spoken!
