When the builders established the Lord’s temple, the priests, ceremonially attired and with their clarions, ¹  and the Levites (the sons of Asaph) with their cymbals, stood to praise the Lord according to the instructions left by ²  King David of Israel. ³ 

And the leaders of the Levites were Hashabiah, Sherebiah, Jeshua son of Kadmiel, and their colleagues, who stood opposite them to offer praise and thanks, one contingent corresponding to the other, as specified by ¹  David the man of God.

In rage the king arose from the banquet of wine and withdrew to the palace garden. Meanwhile, Haman stood to beg Queen Esther for his life, ¹  for he realized that the king had now determined a catastrophic end for him. ²

So he approached the place where I was standing. As he came, I felt terrified and fell flat on the ground. ¹  Then he said to me, “Understand, son of man, ²  that the vision pertains to the time of the end.”

Now while Peter was puzzling over ¹  what the vision he had seen could signify, the men sent by Cornelius had learned where Simon’s house was ²  and approached ³  the gate.

the water coming downstream toward them stopped flowing. ¹  It piled up far upstream ²  at Adam (the city near Zarethan); there was no water at all flowing to the sea of the Arabah (the Salt Sea). ³  The people crossed the river opposite Jericho. ⁴ 

But Joash said to all those who confronted him, ¹  “Must you fight Baal’s battles? ²  Must you rescue him? Whoever takes up his cause ³  will die by morning! ⁴  If he really is a god, let him fight his own battles! ⁵  After all, it was his altar that was pulled down.” ⁶ 

Amasa was squirming in his own blood in the middle of the path, and this man had noticed that all the soldiers stopped. Having noticed that everyone who came across Amasa ¹  stopped, the man ²  pulled him ³  away from the path and into the field and threw a garment over him.

When they went out from Pharaoh, they encountered Moses and Aaron standing there to meet them, ¹ 

The Benjaminites formed their ranks ¹  behind Abner and were like a single army, standing at the top of a certain hill.

He brought me out into a wide open place; he delivered me because he was pleased with me. ¹ 

The prophet then went and stood by the road, waiting for the king. He also disguised himself by putting a bandage down over his eyes.

They also stood in a designated place ¹  every morning and offered thanks and praise to the Lord. They also did this in the evening

And I have waited. ¹  But because they do not speak, because they stand there and answer no more,

He brought me out into a wide open place; he delivered me because he was pleased with me. ¹ 

When ¹  some of the bystanders heard it, they said, “This man is calling for Elijah.”

Some people standing there said to them, “What are you doing, untying that colt?”

When the slave girl saw him, she began again to say to the bystanders, “This man is one of them.”
