Others are busy with their own concerns, not those of Jesus Christ.

Run there quickly, ¹  for I cannot do anything until you arrive there.” (This incident explains why the town was called Zoar.) ²

Because she took her prostitution so lightly, she defiled the land ¹  through her adulterous worship of gods made of wood and stone. ² 

The leading men of the cities send their servants for water. They go to the cisterns, ¹  but they do not find any water there. They return with their containers ²  empty. Disappointed and dismayed, they bury their faces in their hands. ³ 

The water made it grow; underground springs made it grow tall. Rivers flowed all around the place it was planted, while smaller channels watered all the trees of the field. ¹ 

There was a barrier in front of the alcoves, 1¾ feet ¹  on either side; the alcoves were 10½ feet ²  on either side.

“Then I kept on watching because of the arrogant words of the horn that was speaking. I was watching ¹  until the beast was killed and its body destroyed and thrown into ²  the flaming fire.

and they cast lots for my people. They traded ¹  a boy for a prostitute; they sold a little girl for wine so they could drink. ² 

Jesus said to them, “How many loaves do you have?” They replied, “Seven – and a few small fish.”

Because of the crowd, he told his disciples to have a small boat ready for him so the crowd ¹  would not press toward him.

So ¹  after leaving the crowd, they took him along, just as he was, in the boat, ²  and other boats were with him.

He said to her, “Let the children be satisfied first, for it is not right to take the children’s bread and to throw it to the dogs.” ¹
