But the bronze altar made by Bezalel son of Uri, son of Hur, was in front of the Lord’s tabernacle. ¹  Solomon and the entire assembly prayed to him ²  there.)

Then in the midst of the assembly, the Lord’s Spirit came upon Jachaziel son of Zechariah, son of Benaiah, son of Jeiel, son of Mattaniah, a Levite and descendant of Asaph.

So Ezra the priest brought the law before the assembly which included men and women and all those able to understand what they heard. (This happened on the first day of the seventh month.)

On that day the book of Moses was read aloud in the hearing ¹  of the people. They found ²  written in it that no Ammonite or Moabite may ever enter the assembly of God,

You said to yourself, ¹  “I will climb up to the sky. Above the stars of El ²  I will set up my throne. I will rule on the mountain of assembly on the remote slopes of Zaphon. ³ 

(9:1) I wish I had a lodging place in the desert where I could spend some time like a weary traveler. ¹  Then I would desert my people and walk away from them because they are all unfaithful to God, a congregation ²  of people that has been disloyal to him. ³ 

King Hezekiah of Judah supplied 1,000 bulls and 7,000 sheep ¹  for the assembly, while the officials supplied them ²  with 1,000 bulls and 10,000 sheep. Many priests consecrated themselves.

“You are to present ¹  Aaron and his sons at the entrance of the tent of meeting. You are to wash ²  them with water

Aaron and his sons are to eat the meat of the ram and the bread that was in the basket at the entrance of the tent of meeting.

the tent of meeting, the ark of the testimony, the atonement lid that is on it, all the furnishings ¹  of the tent,

With it he made the bases for the door of the tent of meeting, the bronze altar, the bronze grating for it, and all the utensils of the altar,

“On the first day of the first month you are to set up ¹  the tabernacle, the tent of meeting.

You are to put the altar for the burnt offering in front of the entrance to the tabernacle, the tent of meeting.

You are to put the large basin between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it. ¹ 

“You are to bring ¹  Aaron and his sons to the entrance of the tent of meeting and wash them with water.

And he put the table in the tent of meeting, on the north side of the tabernacle, outside the curtain.

And he put the lampstand in the tent of meeting opposite the table, on the south side of the tabernacle.

Then he put the large basin between the tent of meeting and the altar and put water in it ¹  for washing.

Whenever they entered ¹  the tent of meeting, and whenever they approached ²  the altar, they would wash, ³  just as the Lord had commanded Moses.

Then that high priest must take some of the blood ¹  of the bull and bring it to the Meeting Tent.
