gaunt ¹  with want and hunger, they would gnaw ²  the parched land, in former time desolate and waste. ³ 

My heart is parched ¹  and withered like grass, for I am unable ²  to eat food. ³ 

Who can adequately recount the Lord’s mighty acts, or relate all his praiseworthy deeds? ¹ 

May they be like the grass on the rooftops which withers before one can even pull it up, ¹ 

to the one who divided ¹  the Red Sea ²  in two, ³  for his loyal love endures,

It lasted until the ninth day of the fourth month of Zedekiah’s eleventh year. ¹  On that day they broke through the city walls.

And you must drink water by measure, a pint and a half; ¹  you must drink it at fixed times.

He measured the width of the entrance of the gateway as 17½ feet, ¹  and the length of the gateway as 22¾ feet. ²

But stay about three thousand feet behind it. ¹  Keep your distance ²  so you can see ³  which way you should go, for you have not traveled this way before.”

He also made the large bronze basin called “The Sea.” ¹  It measured 15 feet ²  from rim to rim, was circular in shape, and stood seven-and-a-half feet ³  high. Its circumference was 45 feet. ⁴ 

Elisha replied, “Hear the word of the Lord! This is what the Lord says, ‘About this time tomorrow a seah ¹  of finely milled flour will sell for a shekel and two seahs of barley for a shekel at the gate of Samaria.’”

Then he went into the inner sanctuary and measured the jambs of the entrance as 3½ feet, ¹  the entrance as 10½ feet, ²  and the width of the entrance as 12¼ feet ³ 

The building that was facing the temple courtyard at the west side was 122½ feet ¹  wide; the wall of the building was 8¾ feet ²  all around, and its length 157½ feet. ³
