Make your tent larger, stretch your tent curtains farther out! ¹  Spare no effort, lengthen your ropes, and pound your stakes deep. ² 

Look at Zion, the city where we hold religious festivals! You ¹  will see Jerusalem, ²  a peaceful settlement, a tent that stays put; ³  its stakes will never be pulled up; none of its ropes will snap in two.

Relent, ¹  let there be no falsehood; ²  reconsider, ³  for my righteousness is intact! ⁴ 

I ¹  tell you that something greater than the temple is here.

Is not their excess wealth ¹  taken away from them? ²  They die, ³  yet without attaining wisdom. ⁴ 

Hold on to instruction, ¹  do not let it go; protect it, ²  because it is your life.

Do not move an ancient boundary stone ¹  which was put in place by your ancestors. ² 

And this gospel of the kingdom will be preached throughout the whole inhabited earth as a testimony to all the nations, ¹  and then the end will come.

The one who has accepted his testimony has confirmed clearly that God is truthful. ¹ 

You must not go about as a slanderer among your people. ¹  You must not stand idly by when your neighbor’s life is at stake. ²  I am the Lord.

If a man has sexual intercourse with both a woman and her mother, ¹  it is lewdness. ²  Both he and they must be burned to death, ³  so there is no lewdness in your midst.

If a daughter of a priest profanes herself by engaging in prostitution, she is profaning her father. She must be burned to death. ¹ 

When the Most High ¹  gave the nations their inheritance, when he divided up humankind, ²  he set the boundaries of the peoples, according to the number of the heavenly assembly. ³ 

When the chief adviser heard the king of Assyria had departed from Lachish, he left and went to Libnah, where the king was campaigning. ¹ 

He drove the nations out from before them; he assigned them their tribal allotments ¹  and allowed the tribes of Israel to settle down. ² 

when he gave the sea his decree that the waters should not pass over his command, ¹  when he marked out the foundations of the earth,

I will fasten him like a peg into a solid place; ¹  he will bring honor and respect to his father’s family. ² 

And he said to his attendants, ¹  ‘Take the mina from him, and give it to the one who has ten.’ ² 

For the days will come upon you when your enemies will build ¹  an embankment ²  against you and surround you and close in on you from every side.

If I give away everything I own, and if I give over my body in order to boast, ¹  but do not have love, I receive no benefit.
