If he does not redeem the field, but sells ¹  the field to someone else, he may never redeem it.

or his uncle or his cousin ¹  may redeem him, or anyone of the rest of his blood relatives – his family ²  – may redeem him, or if ³  he prospers he may redeem himself.

He will deliver ¹  Israel from all the consequences of their sins. ² 

Every firstling ¹  of a donkey you must redeem ²  with a lamb, and if you do not redeem it, then you must break its neck. ³  Every firstborn of ⁴  your sons you must redeem.

If a man has no redeemer, but he prospers ¹  and gains enough for its redemption, ² 

Let those delivered by the Lord speak out, ¹  those whom he delivered ²  from the power ³  of the enemy,

They remembered that God was their protector, ¹  and that the sovereign God was their deliverer. ² 

after he has sold himself he retains a right of redemption. ¹  One of his brothers may redeem him,

The guardian said, “Then I am unable to redeem it, for I would ruin my own inheritance ¹  in that case. You may exercise my redemption option, for I am unable to redeem it.” ² 

¹ Zion will be freed by justice, ²  and her returnees by righteousness. ³

In time of famine ¹  he will redeem you from death, and in time of war from the power of the sword. ² 

O God, rescue ¹  Israel from all their distress! ² 

But I have integrity! ¹  Rescue me ²  and have mercy on me!

for their Protector ¹  is strong; he will plead their case against you. ² 

If, however, the person who made the vow redeems the animal, ¹  he must add one fifth to ²  its conversion value.

If a man redeems ¹  part of his tithe, however, he must add one fifth to it. ² 

So I am legally informing you: ¹  Acquire it before those sitting here and before the leaders of my people! ²  If you want to exercise your right to redeem it, then do so. ³  But if not, then tell me ⁴  so I will know. ⁵  For you possess the first option to redeem it; I am next in line after you.” ⁶  He replied, “I will redeem it.”

As for me, I know that my Redeemer ¹  lives, and that as the last ²  he will stand upon the earth. ³ 

says our protector – the Lord who commands armies is his name, the Holy One of Israel. ¹
