My brothers and sisters, ¹  consider it nothing but joy ²  when you fall into all sorts of trials,

The ropes of Sheol ¹  tightened around me; ²  the snares of death trapped me. ³ 

The righteous do not encounter ¹  any harm, ²  but the wicked are filled with calamity. ³ 

“I will send my terror ¹  before you, and I will destroy ²  all the people whom you encounter; I will make all your enemies turn their backs ³  to you.
