and endurance, character, and character, hope.

Do not be deceived: “Bad company corrupts good morals.” ¹ 

Who can find ²  a wife ³  of noble character? ⁴  For her value ⁵  is far more than rubies.

The Lord told me, “Take a large tablet ¹  and inscribe these words ²  on it with an ordinary stylus: ³  ‘Maher-Shalal-Hash-Baz.’ ⁴ 

It is an honor for a person ¹  to cease ²  from strife, but every fool quarrels. ³

But as for you, communicate the behavior that goes with ¹  sound teaching.

A noble wife ¹  is the crown ²  of her husband, but the wife ³  who acts shamefully is like rottenness in his bones. ⁴ 

In the same way ¹  God wanted to demonstrate more clearly to the heirs of the promise that his purpose was unchangeable, ²  and so he intervened with an oath,

The Lord said to Moses, “Write down ¹  these words, for in accordance with these words I have made a covenant with you and with Israel.”

“But now, ask the animals and they ²  will teach you, or the birds of the sky and they will tell you.

But you, however, are inventors of lies; ¹  all of you are worthless physicians! ² 

then he reveals ¹  to them what they have done, ²  and their transgressions, that they were behaving proudly.

The Lord revealed his faithful acts ¹  to Moses, his deeds to the Israelites.

until the time when his prediction ¹  came true. The Lord’s word ²  proved him right. ³ 

I am your servant. Give me insight, so that I can understand ¹  your rules.

The righteousness of the blameless will make straight their way, ¹  but the wicked person will fall by his own wickedness. ² 

The righteousness of the upright will deliver them, ¹  but the faithless will be captured ²  by their own desires. ³ 

“Many ¹  daughters ²  have done valiantly, ³  but you surpass them all!”
