Furthermore, if two lie down together, they can keep each other warm, but how can one person keep warm by himself?

King David was very old; ¹  even when they covered him with blankets, ²  he could not get warm.

Half of it he burns in the fire – over that half he cooks ¹  meat; he roasts a meal and fills himself. Yes, he warms himself and says, ‘Ah! I am warm as I look at the fire.’

When they are scorched, ¹  they dry up, when it is hot, they vanish ²  from their place.

He got up on the bed and spread his body out over ¹  the boy; he put his mouth on the boy’s ²  mouth, his eyes over the boy’s eyes, and the palms of his hands against the boy’s palms. He bent down over him, and the boy’s skin ³  grew warm.

This bread of ours was warm when we packed it in our homes the day we started out to meet you, ¹  but now it is dry and hard. ² 

and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, keep warm and eat well,” but you do not give them what the body needs, ¹  what good is it?

You, whose garments are hot when the earth is still because of the south wind,

By the brush ¹  they would gather ²  herbs from the salt marshes, ³  and the root of the broom tree was their food.

whose heart did not bless me ¹  as he warmed himself with the fleece of my sheep, ²

A man uses it to make a fire; ¹  he takes some of it and warms himself. Yes, he kindles a fire and bakes bread. Then he makes a god and worships it; he makes an idol and bows down to it. ² 

If I have seen anyone about to perish for lack of clothing, or a poor man without a coat,

For she leaves ¹  her eggs on the ground, and lets them be warmed on the soil.

Smile ¹  on your servant! Deliver me because of your faithfulness!

Like a kiss on the lips ¹  is the one who gives an honest answer.
