Rejoice greatly, daughter of Zion! Shout, daughter of Jerusalem! Look! Your king is coming to you: he is legitimate ¹  and victorious, ²  humble and riding on a donkey ³  – on a young donkey, the foal of a female donkey.

I will grant the one ¹  who conquers ²  permission ³  to sit with me on my throne, just as I too conquered ⁴  and sat down with my Father on his throne.

The four victorious kings ¹  took all the possessions and food of Sodom and Gomorrah and left.

The one who conquers ¹  will inherit these things, and I will be his God and he will be my son.

The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches. The one who conquers ¹  will in no way be harmed by the second death.’

And to the one who conquers ¹  and who continues in ²  my deeds until the end, I will give him authority over the nations ³  –

From the stream along the road he drinks; then he lifts up his head. ¹ 

Then ¹  I saw something like a sea of glass ²  mixed with fire, and those who had conquered ³  the beast and his image and the number of his name. They were standing ⁴  by ⁵  the sea of glass, holding harps given to them by God. ⁶

Is the Lord mad at the rivers? Are you angry with the rivers? Are you enraged at the sea? ¹  Is this why ²  you climb into your horse-drawn chariots, ³  your victorious chariots? ⁴ 

The one who has an ear had better hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To the one who conquers, ¹  I will permit ²  him to eat from the tree of life that is ³  in the paradise of God.’ ⁴ 

The one who conquers ¹  will be dressed like them ²  in white clothing, ³  and I will never ⁴  erase ⁵  his name from the book of life, but ⁶  will declare ⁷  his name before my Father and before his angels.

He also threatened ¹  the men of Penuel, warning, ²  “When I return victoriously, ³  I will tear down this tower.”

This is an easy task for the Lord; ¹  he will also hand Moab over to you.

Your enemies roar ¹  in the middle of your sanctuary; ²  they set up their battle flags. ³ 

God says, ¹  “I will bring down all the power of the wicked; the godly will be victorious.” ² 

They are sustained as they travel along; ¹  each one appears ²  before God in Zion.
