For the wrath of God is revealed from heaven against all ungodliness and unrighteousness of people ¹  who suppress the truth by their ²  unrighteousness, ³ 

So they proclaim that the Lord, my protector, is just and never unfair. ¹ 

But if we confess our sins, he is faithful and righteous, ¹  forgiving ²  us our sins and cleansing ³  us from all unrighteousness.

All unrighteousness ¹  is sin, but there is sin not resulting in death. ² 

but ¹  wrath and anger to those who live in selfish ambition ²  and do not obey the truth but follow ³  unrighteousness.

And so ¹  all of them who have not believed the truth but have delighted in evil will be condemned. ² 

They are filled ¹  with every kind of unrighteousness, wickedness, covetousness, malice. They are rife with ²  envy, murder, strife, deceit, hostility. They are gossips,

But if our unrighteousness demonstrates ¹  the righteousness of God, what shall we say? The God who inflicts wrath is not unrighteous, is he? ²  (I am speaking in human terms.) ³ 

“‘Sure to be judged ¹  is the king who builds his palace using injustice and treats people unfairly while adding its upper rooms. ²  He makes his countrymen work for him for nothing. He does not pay them for their labor.

If you return to the Almighty, you will be built up; ¹  if you remove wicked behavior far from your tent,

“For I will be merciful toward their evil deeds, and their sins I will remember no longer.” ¹ 

By forsaking the right path they have gone astray, because they followed the way of Balaam son of Bosor, ¹  who loved the wages of unrighteousness, ² 

You must not do injustice in the regulation of measures, whether of length, weight, or volume. ¹ 

who, moreover, do no wrong, but follow in his footsteps. ¹ 

What shall we say then? Is there injustice with God? Absolutely not!

It is not glad about injustice, but rejoices in the truth.

The person who speaks on his own authority ¹  desires ²  to receive honor ³  for himself; the one who desires ⁴  the honor ⁵  of the one who sent him is a man of integrity, ⁶  and there is no unrighteousness in him.

and do not present your members to sin as instruments ¹  to be used for unrighteousness, ²  but present yourselves to God as those who are alive from the dead and your members to God as instruments ³  to be used for righteousness.

You were blameless in your behavior ¹  from the day you were created, until sin was discovered in you.

suffering harm as the wages for their harmful ways. ¹  By considering it a pleasure to carouse in broad daylight, ²  they are stains and blemishes, indulging ³  in their deceitful pleasures when they feast together with you.
