(For Jesus himself had testified that a prophet has no honor in his own country.) ¹ 

I have both seen and testified that this man is the Chosen One of God.” ¹ 

You have sent to John, ¹  and he has testified to the truth.

The Lord sent prophets among them to lead them back to him. ¹  They warned ²  the people, but they would not pay attention.

And the Father who sent me has himself testified about me. You people ¹  have never heard his voice nor seen his form at any time, ²

Also, we are found to be false witnesses about God, because we have testified against God that he raised Christ from the dead, when in reality he did not raise him, if indeed the dead are not raised.

who then ¹  testified to everything that he saw concerning the word of God and the testimony about ²  Jesus Christ.

Now many Samaritans from that town believed in him because of the report of the woman who testified, ¹  “He told me everything I ever did.”

They ¹  have testified to your love before the church. ²  You will do well to send them on their way in a manner worthy of God. ³ 

The following night the Lord ¹  stood near ²  Paul ³  and said, “Have courage, ⁴  for just as you have testified about me in Jerusalem, ⁵  so you must also testify in Rome.” ⁶ 

If we accept the testimony of men, the testimony of God is greater, because ¹  this ²  is the testimony of God that ³  he has testified concerning his Son.

Then ¹  John testified, ²  “I saw the Spirit descending like a dove ³  from heaven, ⁴  and it remained on him. ⁵ 

And the person who saw it ¹  has testified (and his testimony is true, and he ²  knows that he is telling the truth), ³  so that you also may believe.

So they came to John and said to him, “Rabbi, the one who was with you on the other side of the Jordan River, ¹  about whom you testified – see, he is baptizing, and everyone is flocking to him!”
