He taught them many things in parables, ¹  and in his teaching said to them:

Now he was teaching in one of the synagogues ¹  on the Sabbath,

Then ¹  Jesus ²  traveled throughout ³  towns ⁴  and villages, teaching and making his way toward ⁵  Jerusalem. ⁶ 

If it is service, he must serve; if it is teaching, he must teach;

When the crowds heard this, they were amazed at his teaching.

They worship me in vain, teaching as doctrine the commandments of men.’ ¹ 

They ¹  were amazed ²  at his teaching, because he spoke ³  with authority. ⁴ 

While this was happening, ¹  the high priest questioned Jesus about his disciples and about his teaching. ² 

Until I come, give attention to the public reading of scripture, ¹  to exhortation, to teaching.

So he stayed there ¹  a year and six months, teaching the word of God among them. ² 

Because I give ¹  you good instruction, ²  do not forsake my teaching.

and they worship me in vain, teaching as doctrines the commandments of men.’” ¹ 

In the same way, there are also some among you who follow the teaching of the Nicolaitans. ¹ 

When ¹  Jesus finished saying these things, the crowds were amazed by his teaching,

And he was amazed because of their unbelief. Then ¹  he went around among the villages and taught.

My child, ²  do not forget my teaching, but let your heart keep ³  my commandments,

Jesus ¹  said these things while he was teaching in the synagogue ²  in Capernaum. ³ 

proclaiming the kingdom of God and teaching about the Lord Jesus Christ ¹  with complete boldness ²  and without restriction. ³ 

Elders who provide effective leadership ¹  must be counted worthy ²  of double honor, ³  especially those who work hard in speaking ⁴  and teaching.

The people there ¹  were amazed by his teaching, because he taught them like one who had authority, ²  not like the experts in the law. ³
