They surrounded me, yes, they surrounded me. Indeed, in the name of the Lord I pushed them away.

So he sent horses and chariots there, along with a good-sized army. ¹  They arrived during the night and surrounded the city.

Many bulls ¹  surround me; powerful bulls of Bashan ²  hem me in.

They surrounded me like bees. But they disappeared as quickly ¹  as a fire among thorns. ²  Indeed, in the name of the Lord I pushed them away.

(12:1) ¹  Ephraim has surrounded me with lies; the house of Israel has surrounded me ²  with deceit. But Judah still roams about with ³  God; he remains faithful to the Holy One.

Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, ¹  we must get rid of every weight and the sin that clings so closely, and run with endurance the race set out for us,

They ¹  went up ²  on the broad plain of the earth ³  and encircled ⁴  the camp ⁵  of the saints and the beloved city, but ⁶  fire came down from heaven and devoured them completely. ⁷ 

They attack me, now they surround me; ¹  they intend to throw me to the ground. ²
