He will not look on the streams, ¹  the rivers, which are the torrents ²  of honey and butter. ³ 

He caused streams to flow from the rock, and made the water flow like rivers.

He turned their rivers into blood, and they could not drink from their streams.

O Lord, restore our well-being, just as the streams in the arid south are replenished. ¹

You are a garden spring, ¹  a well ²  of fresh water ³  flowing down from Lebanon.

Edom’s ¹  streams will be turned into pitch and her soil into brimstone; her land will become burning pitch.

when my steps ¹  were bathed ²  with butter ³  and the rock poured out for me streams of olive oil! ⁴ 

Tears stream down from my eyes, ¹  because people ²  do not keep your law.

They will sprout up like a tree in the grass, ¹  like poplars beside channels of water.

The river’s channels bring joy to the city of God, ¹  the special, holy dwelling place of ²  the sovereign One. ³ 

Yes, ¹  he struck a rock and water flowed out, streams gushed forth. But can he also give us food? Will he provide meat for his people?”

All the streams flow ¹  into the sea, but the sea is not full, and to the place where the streams flow, there they will flow again. ² 

Then the lame will leap like a deer, the mute tongue will shout for joy; for water will flow ¹  in the desert, streams in the wilderness. ²
