Even if you were to soar high like an eagle, ¹  even if you ²  were to make your nest among the stars, I can bring you down even from there!” says the Lord.

But those who wait for the Lord’s help ¹  find renewed strength; they rise up as if they had eagles’ wings, ²  they run without growing weary, they walk without getting tired.

Look! Like an eagle with outspread wings, a nation will soar up and swoop down on Bozrah. At that time the soldiers of Edom will be as fearful as a woman in labor.” ¹ 

“Is it by your understanding that the hawk soars, ¹  and spreads its wings toward the south?

Is it at your command ¹  that the eagle soars, and builds its nest on high?

Rise up ¹  above the sky, O God! May your splendor cover the whole earth! ²
