The one who gathers crops ¹  in the summer is a wise ²  son, but the one who sleeps ³  during the harvest is a son who brings shame to himself. ⁴ 

None tire or stumble, they don’t stop to nap or sleep. They don’t loosen their belts, or unstrap their sandals to rest. ¹ 

So it is with ¹  the one who has sex with ²  his neighbor’s wife; no one ³  who touches ⁴  her will escape ⁵  punishment. ⁶ 

Then the disciples replied, ¹  “Lord, if he has fallen asleep, he will recover.”

¹ “If a man seduces a virgin ²  who is not engaged ³  and has sexual relations with her, he must surely endow ⁴  her to be his wife.

Anyone who lies down in the house must wash his clothes. Anyone who eats in the house must wash his clothes.

If a decision is not made, ¹  when my master the king is buried with his ancestors, ²  my son Solomon and I ³  will be considered state criminals.” ⁴ 

If a virgin is engaged to a man and another man meets ¹  her in the city and has sexual relations with ²  her,

He goes to sleep and gets up, night and day, and the seed sprouts and grows, though he does not know how.

Suppose a man marries a woman, has sexual relations with her, ¹  and then rejects ²  her,

Look! Israel’s protector ¹  does not sleep or slumber!

Laziness brings on ¹  a deep sleep, ²  and the idle person ³  will go hungry. ⁴ 

When a man has sexual intercourse with a woman and there is a seminal emission, ¹  they must bathe in water and be unclean until evening.

If a man has sexual intercourse with his aunt, he has exposed his uncle’s nakedness; they must bear responsibility for their sin, they will die childless.

‘Cursed is the one who has sexual relations with ¹  his father’s former wife, ²  for he dishonors his father.’ ³  Then all the people will say, ‘Amen!’

‘Cursed is the one who has sexual relations with his sister, the daughter of either his father or mother.’ Then all the people will say, ‘Amen!’

‘Cursed is the one who has sexual relations with his mother-in-law.’ Then all the people will say, ‘Amen!’

May your mouth ¹  be like the best wine, flowing smoothly for my beloved, gliding gently over our lips as we sleep together. ² 

After he said this, he added, ¹  “Our friend Lazarus has fallen asleep. ²  But I am going there to awaken him.”

and if a man actually has sexual intercourse with her so that her menstrual impurity touches him, ¹  then he will be unclean seven days and any bed he lies on will be unclean.
