And as he sowed, some seeds ¹  fell along the path, and the birds came and devoured them.

Other seeds fell among the thorns, ¹  and they grew up and choked them. ² 

It is like a mustard seed ¹  that when sown in the ground, even though it is the smallest of all the seeds in the ground –

All the days of his separation he must not eat anything that is produced by the grapevine, from seed ¹  to skin. ² 

It is the smallest of all the seeds, but when it has grown it is the greatest garden plant and becomes a tree, ¹  so that the wild birds ²  come and nest in its branches.” ³ 

But other seeds fell on good soil and produced grain, some a hundred times as much, some sixty, and some thirty.

Other ¹  seeds fell on rocky ground ²  where they did not have much soil. They sprang up quickly because the soil was not deep. ³ 

Now the promises were spoken to Abraham and to his descendant. ¹  Scripture ²  does not say, “and to the descendants,” ³  referring to many, but “and to your descendant,” ⁴  referring to one, who is Christ.

The grains of seed ¹  have shriveled beneath their shovels. ²  Storehouses have been decimated and granaries have been torn down, for the grain has dried up.

The godly bask in the light; the morally upright experience joy. ¹ 

brought bedding, basins, and pottery utensils. They also brought food for David and all who were with him, including wheat, barley, flour, roasted grain, beans, lentils, ¹ 

The field is the world and the good seed are the people ¹  of the kingdom. The weeds are the people ²  of the evil one,

Now, if such a carcass falls on any sowing seed which is to be sown, ¹  it is clean,

But ¹  other seed fell on good soil and produced grain, sprouting and growing; some yielded thirty times as much, some sixty, and some a hundred times.”

But God gives it a body just as he planned, and to each of the seeds a body of its own.

All flesh is not the same: People have one flesh, animals have another, birds and fish another. ¹ 

My point is this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously ¹  will also reap generously.

(Now the manna was like coriander seed, and its color like the color of bdellium.

to satisfy a devastated and desolate land, and to cause it to sprout with vegetation? ¹ 

A perverse person ¹  spreads dissension, and a gossip separates the closest friends. ²
