and they began selling ¹  their property ²  and possessions and distributing the proceeds ³  to everyone, as anyone had need.

For there was no one needy ¹  among them, because those who were owners of land or houses were selling ²  them ³  and bringing the proceeds from the sales

He ¹  kept back for himself part of the proceeds with his wife’s knowledge; he brought ²  only part of it and placed it at the apostles’ feet.

If a man ¹  makes a vow ²  to the Lord or takes an oath ³  of binding obligation on himself, ⁴  he must not break his word, but must do whatever he has promised. ⁵ 

When the Advocate ¹  comes, whom I will send you from the Father – the Spirit of truth who goes out from the Father – he ²  will testify about me,

But the things that come out of the mouth come from the heart, and these things defile a person.

But Peter said, “Ananias, why has Satan filled ¹  your heart to lie to the Holy Spirit and keep back for yourself part of the proceeds from the sale of ²  the land?

It’s like the old proverb says: ‘From evil people evil proceeds.’ But my hand will not be against you.

But he answered, ¹  “It is written, ‘Man ²  does not live ³  by bread alone, but by every word that comes from the mouth of God.’” ⁴ 

For her ¹  benefit ²  is more profitable ³  than silver, and her ⁴  gain ⁵  is better ⁶  than gold.

He said, “What comes out of a person defiles him.

Listen carefully ¹  to the thunder of his voice, to the rumbling ²  that proceeds from his mouth.

The wicked person desires a stronghold, ¹  but the righteous root ²  endures. ³ 

The human spirit ¹  is like ²  the lamp ³  of the Lord, searching all his innermost parts. ⁴ 

I have seen another ¹  misfortune ²  on the earth: ³  It is an error a ruler makes. ⁴ 

and placing them at the apostles’ feet. The proceeds ¹  were distributed to each, as anyone had need.

But if her husband clearly nullifies ¹  them when he hears them, then whatever she says ²  by way of vows or obligations will not stand. Her husband has made them void, and the Lord will release her from them.

So he humbled you by making you hungry and then feeding you with unfamiliar manna. ¹  He did this to teach you ²  that humankind ³  cannot live by bread ⁴  alone, but also by everything that comes from the Lord’s mouth. ⁵ 

He gives back the ill-gotten gain ¹  without assimilating it; ²  he will not enjoy the wealth from his commerce. ³ 

They ¹  charge ²  like warriors; they scale walls like soldiers. ³  Each one proceeds on his course; they do not alter ⁴  their path.
