But his sons did not follow ¹  his ways. Instead, they made money dishonestly, accepted bribes, and perverted justice. ² 

That person sings ¹  to others, ²  saying: ‘I have sinned and falsified what is right, but I was not punished according to what I deserved. ³

You know ¹  that such a person is twisted by sin ²  and is conscious of it himself. ³ 

The fear of the Lord is to hate ¹  evil; I hate arrogant pride ²  and the evil way and perverse utterances. ³

to deliver ¹  you from the way of the wicked, ²  from those ³  speaking perversity, ⁴ 

to deprive a person ¹  of his rights ²  in the presence of the Most High,

to defraud a person in a lawsuit – the Lord ¹  does not approve ²  of such things!

You were complacent in your evil deeds; ¹  you thought, ²  ‘No one sees me.’ Your self-professed ³  wisdom and knowledge lead you astray, when you say, ‘I am unique! No one can compare to me!’ ⁴

All the words of my mouth are righteous; ¹  there is nothing in them twisted ²  or crooked.

The speech ¹  of the righteous bears the fruit of wisdom, ²  but the one who speaks perversion ³  will be destroyed. ⁴ 

The lips of the righteous know ¹  what is pleasing, ²  but the speech ³  of the wicked is perverse.

The one who walks in his uprightness fears the Lord, ¹  but the one who is perverted in his ways ²  despises him.
