Dear friends, if God so loved us, then ¹  we also ought to love one another. ² 

But there are some Jews from the province of Asia ¹  who should be here before you and bring charges, ²  if they have anything against me.

You ought to say instead, ¹  “If the Lord is willing, then we will live and do this or that.”

The one who says he resides ¹  in God ²  ought himself to walk ³  just as Jesus ⁴  walked.

Therefore we ¹  ought to support such people, so that we become coworkers in cooperation with the truth. ² 

We have come to know love by this: ¹  that Jesus ²  laid down ³  his life for us; thus we ought to lay down our lives for our fellow Christians.

So because these facts ¹  are indisputable, ²  you must keep quiet ³  and not do anything reckless. ⁴ 

For you know yourselves how you must imitate us, because we did not behave without discipline ¹  among you,

for the Holy Spirit will teach you at that moment ¹  what you must say.” ² 

If someone thinks he knows something, he does not yet know to the degree that he needs to know.

For this reason a woman should have a symbol of authority ¹  on her head, because of the angels. ² 

for which I am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may be able to speak boldly as I ought to speak.

From the same mouth come blessing and cursing. These things should not be so, my brothers and sisters. ¹ 

If I then, your Lord and Teacher, have washed your feet, you too ought to wash one another’s feet.

But we who are strong ought to bear with the failings of the weak, and not just please ourselves. ¹ 

Since all these things are to melt away ¹  in this manner, ²  what sort of people must we ³  be, conducting our lives in holiness and godliness, ⁴ 

Pray that I may make it known as I should. ¹ 

The farmer who works hard ought to have the first share of the crops.

The Jewish leaders ¹  replied, ²  “We have a law, ³  and according to our law he ought to die, because he claimed to be the Son of God!” ⁴ 

For a man should not have his head covered, since he is the image and glory of God. But the woman is the glory of the man.
