Now the works of the flesh ¹  are obvious: ²  sexual immorality, impurity, depravity,

But they will not go much further, ¹  for their foolishness will be obvious to everyone, just like it was with Jannes and Jambres. ² 

Similarly good works are also obvious, and the ones that are not cannot remain hidden.

The sins of some people are obvious, going before them into judgment, but for others, they show up later. ¹ 

“If you have ¹  understanding, listen to this, hear what I have to say. ² 

For where your ¹  treasure ²  is, there your heart will be also.

For where your treasure ¹  is, there your heart will be also.

so then, understand ¹  that those who believe are the sons of Abraham. ²

And this is even clearer if another priest arises in the likeness of Melchizedek,

So also faith, if it does not have works, is dead being by itself.

so that it will not be obvious to others when you are fasting, but only to your Father who is in secret. And your Father, who sees in secret, will reward you.

You are looking at outward appearances. ¹  If anyone is confident that he belongs to Christ, he should reflect on this again: Just as he himself belongs to Christ, so too do we.

My accusers will be covered ¹  with shame, and draped in humiliation as if it were a robe.

But if I do what I don’t want, I agree that the law is good. ¹ 

Does not nature ¹  itself teach you that if a man has long hair, it is a disgrace for him,

but if a woman has long hair, it is her glory? For her hair is given to her for a covering. ¹ 

Not all are apostles, are they? Not all are prophets, are they? Not all are teachers, are they? Not all perform miracles, do they?

Are they not all ministering spirits, sent out to serve those ¹  who will inherit salvation?
