‘Cursed is the one who moves his neighbor’s boundary marker.’ Then all the people will say, ‘Amen!’

This is the law ¹  of the land animals, the birds, all the living creatures that move in the water, and all the creatures ²  that swarm on the land,

If ¹  he passes by me, I cannot see ²  him, ³  if he goes by, I cannot perceive him. ⁴ 

Let the heavens and the earth praise him, along with the seas and everything that swims in them!

Every living creature, every creeping thing, every bird, and everything that moves on the earth went out of the ark in their groups.

He who removes mountains suddenly, ¹  who overturns them in his anger; ² 

I keep track of ¹  every bird in the hills, and the insects ²  of the field are mine.

God blessed ¹  them and said ²  to them, “Be fruitful and multiply! Fill the earth and subdue it! ³  Rule over the fish of the sea and the birds of the air and every creature that moves on the ground.” ⁴ 

It makes its tail stiff ¹  like a cedar, the sinews of its thighs are tightly wound.

It is dangerous ¹  to have zeal ²  without knowledge, and the one who acts hastily ³  makes poor choices. ⁴ 

God created the great sea creatures ¹  and every living and moving thing with which the water swarmed, according to their kinds, and every winged bird according to its kind. God saw that it was good.

You must not eat anything that crawls ¹  on its belly or anything that walks on all fours or on any number of legs ²  of all the swarming things that swarm on the land, because they are detestable.

“Tell the Israelites to take ¹  an offering ²  for me; from every person motivated by a willing ³  heart you ⁴  are to receive my offering.

Let them be ¹  like a snail that melts away as it moves along! ²  Let them be like ³  stillborn babies ⁴  that never see the sun!

The lotus trees conceal it in their ¹  shadow; the poplars by the stream conceal it.

The folds ¹  of its flesh are tightly joined; they are firm on it, immovable. ² 

And to all the animals of the earth, and to every bird of the air, and to all the creatures that move on the ground – everything that has the breath of life in it – I give ¹  every green plant for food.” It was so.

for I am the Lord your God and you are to sanctify yourselves and be holy because I am holy. You must not defile yourselves by any of the swarming things that creep on the ground,

Suppose a Levite comes by his own free will ¹  from one of your villages, from any part of Israel where he is living, ²  to the place the Lord chooses

Every swarming thing that swarms on the land is detestable; it must not be eaten.
