May you accept my prayer like incense, my uplifted hands like the evening offering! ¹ 

So I want the men ¹  to pray ²  in every place, lifting up holy hands ³  without anger or dispute.

Then ¹  Jesus ²  led them out as far as Bethany, ³  and lifting up his hands, he blessed them.

For God is the judge! ¹  He brings one down and exalts another. ² 

Ezra blessed the LORD, the great God, and all the people replied “Amen! Amen!” as they lifted their hands. Then they bowed down and worshiped the LORD with their faces to the ground.

For victory does not come from the east or west, or from the wilderness. ¹ 

The nations run away when they hear a loud noise; ¹  the nations scatter when you spring into action! ²

When people are brought low ¹  and you say ‘Lift them up!’ ²  then he will save the downcast; ³ 

For this reason ¹  I will praise you while I live; in your name I will lift up my hands. ² 

Then Jesus, when he looked up ¹  and saw that a large crowd was coming to him, said to Philip, “Where can we buy bread so that these people may eat?”

If you have done foolishly by exalting yourself ¹  or if you have planned evil, put ²  your hand over your mouth!

On the third day Abraham caught sight of ¹  the place in the distance.

and put the poles into the rings on the sides of the ark in order to carry the ark.

The Lord both kills and gives life; he brings down to the grave ¹  and raises up.

The Lord impoverishes and makes wealthy; he humbles and he exalts.

he sets ¹  the lowly ²  on high, that those who mourn ³  are raised ⁴  to safety.

Evil men plot against the godly ¹  and viciously attack them. ²
