They help one another; ¹  one says to the other, ‘Be strong!’

The Lord helps them and rescues them; he rescues them from evil men and delivers them, ¹  for they seek his protection.

But the sovereign Lord helps me, so I am not humiliated. For that reason I am steadfastly resolved; ¹  I know I will not be put to shame.

In the same way, the Spirit helps us in our weakness, for we do not know how we should pray, ¹  but the Spirit himself intercedes for us with inexpressible groanings.

But a spirit ¹  empowered ²  Amasai, the leader of the thirty warriors, and he said: ³  “We are yours, O David! We support ⁴  you, O son of Jesse! May you greatly prosper! ⁵  May those who help you prosper! ⁶  Indeed ⁷  your God helps you!” So David accepted them and made them leaders of raiding bands.

For surely his concern is not for angels, but he is concerned for Abraham’s descendants.

If an iron axhead ¹  is blunt and a workman ²  does not sharpen ³  its edge, ⁴  he must exert a great deal of effort; ⁵  so wisdom has the advantage of giving success.

The Egyptians are mere humans, not God; their horses are made of flesh, not spirit. The Lord will strike with ¹  his hand; the one who helps will stumble and the one being helped will fall. Together they will perish. ² 

Look, the sovereign Lord helps me. Who dares to condemn me? Look, all of them will wear out like clothes; a moth will eat away at them.

And God has placed in the church first apostles, second prophets, third teachers, then miracles, gifts of healing, helps, gifts of leadership, different kinds of tongues.

Righteousness ¹  guards the one who lives with integrity, ²  but wickedness ³  overthrows the sinner.

because of the God of your father, who will help you, ¹  because of the sovereign God, ²  who will bless you ³  with blessings from the sky above, blessings from the deep that lies below, and blessings of the breasts and womb. ⁴ 

This is what the Lord, the one who made you, says – the one who formed you in the womb and helps you: “Don’t be afraid, my servant Jacob, Jeshurun, ¹  whom I have chosen!

But ¹  I would strengthen ²  you with my words; ³  comfort from my lips would bring ⁴  you relief.

¹ The Lord supports all who fall, and lifts up all who are bent over. ² 

Is it not from the mouth of the Most High that everything comes – both calamity and blessing? ¹ 

He ¹  said to them, “Not everyone can accept this statement, except those to whom it has been given.

Wretched man that I am! Who will rescue me from this body of death?

Let each of us please his neighbor for his good to build him up.

If ¹  I pray in a tongue, my spirit prays, but my mind is unproductive.
