“Do not handle! Do not taste! Do not touch!”

They will descend from their ships – all who handle the oar, the sailors and all the sea captains – they will stand on the land.

Go ahead and ¹  charge into battle, you horsemen! Drive furiously, you charioteers! Let the soldiers march out into battle, those from Ethiopia and Libya who carry shields, and those from Lydia ²  who are armed with the bow. ³

For how do you know, wife, whether you will bring your husband to salvation? ¹  Or how do you know, husband, whether you will bring your wife to salvation? ² 

Dan ¹  will judge ²  his people as one of the tribes of Israel.

When Hezekiah asked the priests and Levites about the heaps,

“Have you understood all these things?” They replied, “Yes.”

You will surely wear out, ¹  both you and these people who are with you, for this is too ²  heavy a burden ³  for you; you are not able to do it by yourself.

But now ¹  don’t treat him as if he were innocent. You are a wise man and you know how to handle him; ²  make sure he has a bloody death.” ³

He said ¹  to his people, “Look at ²  the Israelite people, more numerous and stronger than we are!

Do not say, ¹  “I will pay back ²  evil!” Wait ³  for the Lord, so that he may vindicate you. ⁴
