Are God’s consolations ¹  too trivial for you; ²  or a word spoken ³  in gentleness to you?

He is able to deal compassionately with those who are ignorant and erring, since he also is subject to weakness,

“These people ¹  have rejected the gently flowing waters of Shiloah ²  and melt in fear over Rezin and the son of Remaliah. ³ 

The king gave this order to Joab, Abishai, and Ittai: “For my sake deal gently with the young man Absalom.” Now the entire army was listening when the king gave all the leaders this order concerning Absalom.

Like a shepherd he tends his flock; he gathers up the lambs with his arm; he carries them close to his heart; ¹  he leads the ewes along.

May your mouth ¹  be like the best wine, flowing smoothly for my beloved, gliding gently over our lips as we sleep together. ² 

correcting ¹  opponents with gentleness. Perhaps God will grant them repentance and then knowledge of the truth ² 

The clods of the torrent valley ¹  are sweet to him; behind him everybody follows in procession, and before him goes a countless throng.

If ¹  someone pampers his servant from youth, he will be a weakling ²  in the end.

But Jesus gently took his hand and raised him to his feet, and he stood up.

But Jesus ¹  gently took her by the hand and said, ²  “Child, get up.”

I led them with leather ¹  cords, with leather ²  ropes; I lifted the yoke ³  from their neck, ⁴  and gently fed them. ⁵ 

Brothers and sisters, ¹  if a person ²  is discovered in some sin, ³  you who are spiritual ⁴  restore such a person in a spirit of gentleness. ⁵  Pay close attention ⁶  to yourselves, so that you are not tempted too.

The waters completely overwhelmed ¹  the earth, and the ark floated ²  on the surface of the waters.

After I had spoken, they did not respond; my words fell on them drop by drop. ¹ 

But when the crowd had been put outside, he went in and gently took her by the hand, and the girl got up.

¹  although we could have imposed our weight as apostles of Christ; instead we became ²  little children ³  among you. Like a nursing mother caring for her own children,

He came and raised her up by gently taking her hand. Then the fever left her and she began to serve ¹  them.

Then, gently taking the child by the hand, he said to her, “Talitha koum,” which means, “Little girl, I say to you, get up.”

Then the commander ¹  of the temple guard ²  went with the officers ³  and brought the apostles ⁴  without the use of force ⁵  (for they were afraid of being stoned by the people). ⁶
