He satisfies the desire ¹  of his loyal followers; ²  he hears their cry for help and delivers them.

Look away from him and let him desist, ¹  until he fulfills ²  his time like a hired man.

I cry out for help to the sovereign God, ¹  to the God who vindicates ²  me.

who fulfills the oracles of his prophetic servants ¹  and brings to pass the announcements ²  of his messengers, who says about Jerusalem, ³  ‘She will be inhabited,’ and about the towns of Judah, ‘They will be rebuilt, her ruins I will raise up,’

For he fulfills his decree against me, ¹  and many such things are his plans. ² 

It is written in your law that the testimony of two men is true. ¹ 

In ¹  everything, treat others as you would want them ²  to treat you, ³  for this fulfills ⁴  the law and the prophets.

And will not the physically uncircumcised man ¹  who keeps the law judge you who, despite ²  the written code ³  and circumcision, transgress the law?

When they went back and told him, he said, “The Lord’s word through his servant, Elijah the Tishbite, has come to pass. He warned, ¹  ‘In the plot of land at Jezreel, dogs will devour Jezebel’s flesh.

And concerning them the prophecy of Isaiah is fulfilled that says: ‘You will listen carefully ¹  yet will never understand, you will look closely ²  yet will never comprehend.
