For many are called, but few are chosen.”

Then he said to his disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few.

He was not able to do a miracle there, except to lay his hands on a few sick people and heal them.

Now the city was spread out ¹  and large, and there were not a lot of people in it. ²  At that time houses had not been rebuilt.

But the gate is narrow and the way is difficult that leads to life, and there are few who find it.
