My heart beats quickly; my strength leaves me; I can hardly see. ¹ 

Answer me quickly, Lord! My strength is fading. ¹  Do not reject me, ²  or I will join ³  those descending into the grave. ⁴ 

For my life nears its end in pain; my years draw to a close as I groan. ¹  My strength fails me because of ²  my sin, and my bones become brittle. ³ 

The crops of the fields ¹  have been destroyed. ²  The ground is in mourning because the grain has perished. The fresh wine has dried up; the olive oil languishes.

Do not reject me in my old age! ¹  When my strength fails, do not abandon me!

For the one who obeys the whole law but fails ¹  in one point has become guilty of all of it. ² 

For the waters of Nimrim are gone; ¹  the grass is dried up, the vegetation has disappeared, and there are no plants.

Love never ends. But if there are prophecies, they will be set aside; if there are tongues, they will cease; if there is knowledge, it will be set aside.

For innumerable dangers ¹  surround me. My sins overtake me so I am unable to see; they outnumber the hairs of my head so my strength fails me. ² 

A blacksmith works with his tool ¹  and forges metal over the coals. He forms it ²  with hammers; he makes it with his strong arm. He gets hungry and loses his energy; ³  he drinks no water and gets tired.

“Son of man, what is this proverb you have in the land of Israel, ‘The days pass slowly, and every vision fails’?

But the one who does not find me ¹  brings harm ²  to himself; ³  all who hate me ⁴  love death.”

So whoever knows what is good to do ¹  and does not do it is guilty of sin. ² 

And I tell you, make friends for yourselves by how you use worldly wealth, ¹  so that when it runs out you will be welcomed ²  into the eternal homes. ³ 

See to it that no one comes short of the grace of God, that no one be like a bitter root springing up ¹  and causing trouble, and through him many become defiled.

“If a man opens a pit or if a man digs a pit and does not cover it, and an ox or a donkey falls into it,

Wild donkeys stand on the hilltops and pant for breath like jackals. Their eyes are strained looking for food, because there is none to be found.” ¹ 

But ¹  the man who is ceremonially clean, and was not on a journey, and fails ²  to keep the Passover, that person must be cut off from his people. ³  Because he did not bring the Lord’s offering at its appointed time, that man must bear his sin. ⁴ 

Their bulls ¹  breed ²  without fail; ³  their cows calve and do not miscarry.

His work is majestic and glorious, ¹  and his faithfulness endures ²  forever.
