Toward this goal ¹  I also labor, struggling according to his power that powerfully ²  works in me.

for the one bringing forth in you both the desire and the effort – for the sake of his good pleasure – is God.

Pleasant words are like ¹  a honeycomb, ²  sweet to the soul and healing ³  to the bones.

He gives strength to those who are tired; to the ones who lack power, he gives renewed energy.

Do not work for the food that disappears, ¹  but for the food that remains to eternal life – the food ²  which the Son of Man will give to you. For God the Father has put his seal of approval on him.” ³ 

His bones ¹  were full of his youthful vigor, ²  but that vigor will lie down with him in the dust.

The ¹  whole crowd was trying to touch him, because power ²  was coming out from him and healing them all.

Now Stephen, full of grace and power, was performing great wonders and miraculous signs ¹  among the people.

So then, let us pursue what makes for peace and for building up one another.

With regard to spiritual gifts, ¹  brothers and sisters, ²  I do not want you to be uninformed. ³ 

But reject those myths ¹  fit only for the godless and gullible, ²  and train yourself for godliness.

Be careful ¹  not to say, “My own ability and skill ²  have gotten me this wealth.”

Then Jonathan said, “My father has caused trouble for the land. See how my eyes gleamed ¹  when I tasted just a little of this honey.

He will give discernment to the one who makes judicial decisions, and strength to those who defend the city from attackers. ¹ 

They hatch the eggs of a poisonous snake and spin a spider’s web. Whoever eats their eggs will die, a poisonous snake is hatched. ¹ 

Jesus knew at once that power had gone out from him. He turned around in the crowd and said, “Who touched my clothes?”

and what is the incomparable ¹  greatness of his power toward ²  us who believe, as displayed in ³  the exercise of his immense strength. ⁴ 

This power ¹  he exercised ²  in Christ when he raised him ³  from the dead and seated him ⁴  at his right hand in the heavenly realms ⁵ 

For this very reason, ¹  make every effort ²  to add to your faith excellence, ³  to excellence, knowledge;

Let it be known to the king that we have gone to the province of Judah, to the temple of the great God. It is being built with large stones, ¹  and timbers are being placed in the walls. This work is being done with all diligence and is prospering in their hands.
