Then he is to have the house scraped ¹  all around on the inside, ²  and the plaster ³  which is scraped off ⁴  must be dumped outside the city ⁵  into an unclean place.

He will be left unburied just like a dead donkey. His body will be dragged off and thrown outside the gates of Jerusalem.’” ¹ 

But at his gate lay ¹  a poor man named Lazarus ²  whose body was covered with sores, ³ 

So ¹  he sent still a third. They even wounded this one, and threw him out.

But you have been thrown out of your grave like a shoot that is thrown away. ¹  You lie among ²  the slain, among those who have been slashed by the sword, among those headed for ³  the stones of the pit, ⁴  as if you were a mangled corpse. ⁵ 

and they brought Uriah back from there. ¹  They took him to King Jehoiakim, who had him executed and had his body thrown into the burial place of the common people. ² 

The Philistines ¹  abandoned their idols ²  there, and David and his men picked them up.

He says to himself, ¹  “God overlooks it; he does not pay attention; he never notices.” ² 

They have made their blood flow like water all around Jerusalem, and there is no one to bury them. ¹ 

and tossed ¹  Pharaoh and his army into the Red Sea, for his loyal love endures,

“But as for you, in the midst of the uncircumcised you will be broken, and you will lie with those killed by the sword.

The next day, because we were violently battered by the storm, ¹  they began throwing the cargo overboard, ² 

The chariots of Pharaoh ¹  and his army he has thrown into the sea, and his chosen ²  officers were drowned ³  in the Red Sea.

So the Lord has uprooted them from their land in anger, wrath, and great rage and has deported them to another land, as is clear today.”

He said to David, “You are more innocent ¹  than I, for you have treated me well, even though I have tried to harm you!

For the arrows ¹  of the Almighty ²  are within me; my spirit ³  drinks their poison; ⁴  God’s sudden terrors ⁵  are arrayed ⁶  against me.

But as soon as they were inside the city, Ishmael son of Nethaniah and the men who were with him slaughtered them and threw their bodies ¹  in a cistern.

They will fall among those killed by the sword. The sword is drawn; they carry her and all her hordes away.

and those who turn their backs on ¹  the Lord and do not want the Lord’s help or guidance.” ² 

He removed the foreign gods and images from the Lord’s temple and all the altars he had built on the hill of the Lord’s temple and in Jerusalem; he threw them outside the city.
