You broke open the spring and the stream; ¹  you dried up perpetually flowing rivers. ² 

After a while, ¹  the stream dried up because there had been no rain in the land.

Even the wild animals ¹  cry out to you; ²  for the river beds ³  have dried up; fire has destroyed ⁴  the grassy pastures. ⁵

The water of the sea will be dried up, and the river will dry up and be empty. ¹ 

At once the bleeding stopped, ¹  and she felt in her body that she was healed of her disease.

For the land is full of people unfaithful to him. ¹  They live wicked lives and they misuse their power. ²  So the land is dried up ³  because it is under his curse. ⁴  The pastures in the wilderness are withered.

Did you not dry up the sea, the waters of the great deep? Did you not make ¹  a path through the depths of the sea, so those delivered from bondage ²  could cross over?

But it was plucked up in anger; it was thrown down to the ground. The east wind ¹  dried up its fruit; its strong branches broke off and withered – a fire consumed them.
