and all drank the same spiritual drink. For they were all drinking from the spiritual rock that followed them, and the rock was Christ.

So Isaac ¹  held a feast for them and they celebrated. ² 

As they drank wine, they praised the gods of gold and silver, bronze, iron, wood, and stone.

And after taking the cup and giving thanks, he gave it to them, and they all drank from it.

For ¹  three days he could not see, and he neither ate nor drank anything. ² 

When he drank some of the wine, he got drunk and uncovered himself ¹  inside his tent.

So the prophet went back with him and ate and drank in his house. ¹ 

Then Moses raised his hand, and struck the rock twice with his staff. And water came out abundantly. So the community drank, and their beasts drank too.

Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’ ¹ 

Then Jacob gave Esau some bread and lentil stew; Esau ate and drank, then got up and went out. ¹  So Esau despised his birthright. ² 

But he did not lay a hand ¹  on the leaders of the Israelites, so they saw God, ²  and they ate and they drank. ³ 

The ravens would bring him bread and meat each morning and evening, and he would drink from the stream.

Surely you’re not greater than our ancestor ¹  Jacob, are you? For he gave us this well and drank from it himself, along with his sons and his livestock.” ² 

His father-in-law, the girl’s father, persuaded him to stay with him for three days, and they ate and drank together, and spent the night there.

Isaac ¹  said, “Bring some of the wild game for me to eat, my son. ²  Then I will bless you.” ³  So Jacob ⁴  brought it to him, and he ate it. He also brought him wine, and Isaac ⁵  drank.

He gave them portions of the food set before him, ¹  but the portion for Benjamin was five times greater than the portions for any of the others. They drank with Joseph until they all became drunk. ² 

who ate the best of their sacrifices, and drank the wine of their drink offerings? Let them rise and help you; let them be your refuge!

So they brought the gold and silver ¹  vessels that had been confiscated from the temple, the house of God ²  in Jerusalem, and the king and his nobles, together with his wives and concubines, drank from them.

The people of Judah and Israel were as innumerable as the sand on the seashore; they had plenty to eat and drink and were happy.

She quickly lowered her jug from her shoulder and said, ‘Drink, and I’ll give your camels water too.’ So I drank, and she also gave the camels water.
