when they crouch in their dens, when they wait in ambush in the thicket?

They crouch, they bear ¹  their young, they bring forth the offspring they have carried. ² 

You will have no place to go, except to kneel with the prisoners, or to fall among those who have been killed. ¹  Despite all this, his anger does not subside, and his hand is ready to strike again. ² 

They crouch and lie down like a lion, and as a lioness, ¹  who can stir him? Blessed is the one who blesses you, and cursed is the one who curses you!’”

God does not restrain his anger; ¹  under him the helpers of Rahab ²  lie crushed. ³ 

His victims are crushed and beaten down; they are trapped in his sturdy nets. ¹ 

He lies in ambush in a hidden place, like a lion in a thicket; ¹  he lies in ambush, waiting to catch ²  the oppressed; he catches the oppressed ³  by pulling in his net. ⁴
