Now Jacob cooked some stew, ¹  and when Esau came in from the open fields, he was famished.

On that day the bells of the horses will bear the inscription “Holy to the Lord.” The cooking pots in the Lord’s temple ¹  will be as holy as the bowls in front of the altar. ² 

When they got out on the beach, ¹  they saw a charcoal fire ready ²  with a fish placed on it, and bread.

Anything their carcass may fall on will become unclean. An oven or small stove must be smashed to pieces; they are unclean, and they will stay unclean ¹  to you.

For they do not try to make peace with others, ¹  but plan ways to deceive those who are unsuspecting. ²
