Your very best valleys were full of chariots; ¹  horsemen confidently took their positions ²  at the gate.

The merchants of Sheba and Raamah engaged in trade with you; they traded the best kinds of spices along with precious stones and gold for your products.

with the harvest produced by the daylight ¹  and by ²  the moonlight; ³ 

with the best ¹  of the ancient mountains and the harvest produced by the age-old hills;

Receive my instruction ¹  rather than ²  silver, and knowledge rather than choice gold.

For there on my holy mountain, the high mountain of Israel, declares the sovereign Lord, all the house of Israel will serve me, all of them ¹  in the land. I will accept them there, and there I will seek your contributions and your choice gifts, with all your holy things.
