If ¹  someone pampers his servant from youth, he will be a weakling ²  in the end.

Jesus ¹  asked his father, “How long has this been happening to him?” And he said, “From childhood.

and how from infancy you have known the holy writings, which are able to give you wisdom for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus.

Banish ¹  emotional stress ²  from your mind. ³  and put away pain ⁴  from your body; ⁵  for youth ⁶  and the prime of life ⁷  are fleeting. ⁸ 

For you give me confidence, ¹  O Lord; O Lord, I have trusted in you since I was young. ² 

Now look! This king walks before you. As for me, I am old and gray, though my sons are here with you. I have walked before you from the time of my youth till the present day.

Now there were these prophets and teachers in the church at Antioch: ¹  Barnabas, Simeon called Niger, ²  Lucius the Cyrenian, ³  Manaen (a close friend of Herod ⁴  the tetrarch ⁵  from childhood ⁶ ) and Saul.

but from my youth I raised the orphan ¹  like a father, and from my mother’s womb ²  I guided the widow! ³ 

then his flesh is restored ¹  like a youth’s; he returns to the days of his youthful vigor. ² 

O God, you have taught me since I was young, and I am still declaring ¹  your amazing deeds.
