She considers ¹  a field and buys it; from her own income ²  she plants a vineyard.

Then ¹  the merchants of the earth will weep and mourn for her because no one buys their cargo ²  any longer –

but if a priest buys a person with his own money, ¹  that person ²  may eat the holy offerings, ³  and those born in the priest’s ⁴  own house may eat his food. ⁵ 

“The kingdom of heaven is like a treasure, hidden in a field, that a person found and hid. Then because of joy he went and sold all that he had and bought that field.

A person’s gift ¹  makes room for him, and leads him ²  before important people.

If a man redeems ¹  part of his tithe, however, he must add one fifth to it. ² 

When he found a pearl of great value, he went out and sold everything he had and bought it.

Don’t be afraid, despised insignificant Jacob, ¹  men of ²  Israel. I am helping you,” says the Lord, your protector, ³  the Holy One of Israel. ⁴
