He heals ¹  the brokenhearted, and bandages their wounds.

For ¹  he ²  wounds, ³  but he also bandages; he strikes, but his hands also heal.

He loosens ¹  the bonds ²  of kings and binds a loincloth ³  around their waist.

And to all these ¹  virtues ²  add ³  love, which is the perfect bond. ⁴ 

With great power God ¹  grasps my clothing; ²  he binds me like the collar ³  of my tunic.

The godless at heart ¹  nourish anger, ²  they do not cry out even when he binds them.

“If a young ¹  woman who is still living ²  in her father’s house makes a vow to the Lord or places herself under an obligation,

Like tying a stone in a sling, ¹  so is giving honor to a fool.

He locks the waters in his clouds, and the clouds do not burst with the weight of them.

The light of the full moon will be like the sun’s glare and the sun’s glare will be seven times brighter, like the light of seven days, ¹  when the Lord binds up his people’s fractured bones ²  and heals their severe wound. ³ 

But no one is able to enter a strong man’s ¹  house and steal his property unless he first ties up the strong man. Then he can thoroughly plunder his house. ² 

How ¹  else can someone enter a strong man’s ²  house and steal his property, unless he first ties up the strong man? Then he can thoroughly plunder the house. ³ 

If she made the vow in her husband’s house or put herself under obligation with an oath,

He has searched ¹  the sources ²  of the rivers and what was hidden he has brought into the light.

which cannot fill the reaper’s hand, or the lap of the one who gathers the grain!

But if when her husband hears it he overrules her, then he will nullify ¹  the vow she has taken, ²  and whatever she uttered impulsively which she has pledged for herself. And the Lord will release her from it.

“And if she marries a husband while under a vow, ¹  or she uttered ²  anything impulsively by which she has pledged herself,

But the king ¹  will rejoice in God; everyone who takes oaths in his name ²  will boast, for the mouths of those who speak lies will be shut up. ³ 

If a man ¹  makes a vow ²  to the Lord or takes an oath ³  of binding obligation on himself, ⁴  he must not break his word, but must do whatever he has promised. ⁵ 

At that time ¹  the brother will shout, ²  ‘I am no doctor, ³  I have no food or coat in my house; don’t make me a leader of the people!’”
