But Judas Iscariot, one of his disciples (the one who was going to betray him) ¹  said,

From that time ¹  on, Judas ²  began looking for an opportunity to betray him.

Then ¹  Judas Iscariot, one of the twelve, went to the chief priests to betray Jesus into their hands. ² 

He went away and discussed with the chief priests and officers of the temple guard ¹  how he might ²  betray Jesus, ³  handing him over to them. ⁴ 

Then many will be led into sin, ¹  and they will betray one another and hate one another.

And while they were eating he said, “I tell you the truth, ¹  one of you will betray me.” ² 

He ¹  answered, “The one who has dipped his hand into the bowl with me ²  will betray me.

So ¹  Judas ²  agreed and began looking for an opportunity to betray Jesus ³  when no crowd was present. ⁴ 

(For Jesus ¹  knew the one who was going to betray him. For this reason he said, “Not every one of you is ²  clean.”) ³ 

(Now he said this about Judas son of Simon Iscariot, ¹  for Judas, ²  one of the twelve, was going to betray him.) ³ 

When he had said these things, Jesus was greatly distressed ¹  in spirit, and testified, ²  “I tell you the solemn truth, ³  one of you will betray me.” ⁴ 

While they were at the table ¹  eating, Jesus said, “I tell you the truth, ²  one of you eating with me will betray me.” ³ 

But Jesus said to him, “Judas, would you betray the Son of Man with a kiss?” ¹ 

When they heard this, they were delighted ¹  and promised to give him money. ²  So ³  Judas ⁴  began looking for an opportunity to betray him.

The evening meal ¹  was in progress, and the devil had already put into the heart ²  of Judas Iscariot, Simon’s son, that he should betray ³  Jesus. ⁴ 

“Bring a plan, make a decision! ¹  Provide some shade in the middle of the day! ²  Hide the fugitives! Do not betray ³  the one who tries to escape!

Brother will hand over brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rise against ¹  parents and have them put to death.

But there are some of you who do not believe.” (For Jesus had already known from the beginning who those were who did not believe, and who it was who would betray him.) ¹ 

“Brother ¹  will hand over brother to death, and a father his child. Children will rise against ²  parents and have them put to death.

David went out to meet them and said, ¹  “If you come to me in peace and want to help me, then I will make an alliance with you. ²  But if you come to betray me to my enemies when I have not harmed you, ³  may the God of our ancestors ⁴  take notice and judge!”
