For such people are false apostles, deceitful ¹  workers, disguising themselves ²  as apostles of Christ.

They stood these men before the apostles, who prayed ¹  and placed ²  their hands on them.

Now ¹  when the hour came, Jesus ²  took his place at the table ³  and the apostles joined ⁴  him.

They ¹  laid hands on ²  the apostles and put them in a public jail.

But Peter and the apostles replied, ¹  “We must obey ²  God rather than people. ³ 

Both the apostles and the elders met together to deliberate ¹  about this matter.

For I consider myself not at all inferior to those “super-apostles.” ¹

But you, dear friends – recall the predictions ¹  foretold by the apostles of our Lord Jesus Christ. ² 

Then ¹  the apostles gathered around Jesus and told him everything they had done and taught.

Then ¹  they cast lots for them, and the one chosen was Matthias; ²  so he was counted with the eleven apostles. ³
