Should your springs be dispersed ¹  outside, your streams of water in the wide plazas?

Just as it is written, “He ¹  has scattered widely, he has given to the poor; his righteousness remains forever.” ²

This ought not to be, ¹  my sons! For the report that I hear circulating among the Lord’s people is not good.

Look, the Lord is ready to devastate the earth and leave it in ruins; he will mar its surface and scatter its inhabitants.

For you will spread out to the right and to the left; your children will conquer ¹  nations and will resettle desolate cities.
