He said to me, “You will see them practicing even greater abominations!”

When ¹  he speaks graciously, ²  do not believe him, ³  for there are seven ⁴  abominations ⁵  within him.

“Son of man, confront Jerusalem ¹  with her abominable practices

You must bear your punishment for your obscene conduct and your abominable practices, declares the Lord.

He said to me, “Go in and see the evil abominations they are practicing here.”

“When they return to it, they will remove from it all its detestable things and all its abominations.

They made him jealous with other gods, ¹  they enraged him with abhorrent idols. ² 

On ¹  her forehead was written a name, a mystery: ²  “Babylon the Great, the Mother of prostitutes and of the detestable things of the earth.”

Samaria has not committed half the sins you have; you have done more abominable deeds than they did. ¹  You have made your sisters appear righteous with all the abominable things you have done.

for the people who were in the land before you have done all these abominations, ¹  and the land has become unclean.

For if anyone does any of these abominations, the persons who do them will be cut off from the midst of their people. ¹ 

He said to me, “Do you see this, son of man? You will see even greater abominations than these!”

They set up their disgusting idols in the temple which I have claimed for my own ¹  and defiled it.

You rely ¹  on your swords and commit abominable deeds; each of you defiles his neighbor’s wife. Will you possess the land?’

He said to me, “Son of man, do you see what they are doing – the great abominations that the people ¹  of Israel are practicing here, to drive me far from my sanctuary? But you will see greater abominations than these!”

I will do to you what I have never done before and will never do again because of all your abominable practices. ¹ 

“Are you willing to pronounce judgment? ¹  Are you willing to pronounce judgment, son of man? Then confront them with the abominable practices of their fathers,

Then they will know that I am the Lord when I turn the land into a desolate ruin because of all the abominable deeds they have committed.’ ¹ 

He did evil in the sight of ¹  the Lord and committed the same horrible sins practiced by the nations ²  whom the Lord drove out ahead of the Israelites.

“As for you, son of man, are you willing to pronounce judgment, ¹  are you willing to pronounce judgment on the bloody city? ²  Then confront her with all her abominable deeds!
