From ¹  the descendants of Binnui: Shimei,

Shimei son of Ela was in charge of Benjamin.

The Gershonites included Ladan and Shimei.

The sons of Shimei: Jahath, Zina, ¹  Jeush, and Beriah. These were Shimei’s sons – four in all. ² 

Adaiah, Beraiah, and Shimrath were the sons of Shimei.

These are the names of the sons of Gershon by their families: Libni and Shimei.

The descendants of Mishma: His son Hammuel, his son Zaccur, and his son Shimei.

The descendants of Joel: His son Shemaiah, his son Gog, his son Shimei,

These are the names of the sons Gershom: Libni and Shimei.

Shimei said to the king, “My master the king’s proposal is acceptable. ¹  Your servant will do as you say.” ²  So Shimei lived in Jerusalem for a long time. ³ 

Three years later two of Shimei’s servants ran away to King Achish son of Maacah of Gath. Shimei was told, “Look, your servants are in Gath.”

The king said to Shimei, “You won’t die.” The king vowed an oath ¹  concerning this.

When Solomon was told that Shimei had gone from Jerusalem to Gath and had then returned,

The sons of Shimei: Shelomoth, Haziel, and Haran – three in all. These were the leaders of the family of Ladan.

from the descendants of Heman: Jehiel and Shimei; from the descendants of Jeduthun: Shemaiah and Uzziel.

From the Levites: Jozabad, Shimei, Kelaiah (also known as Kelita), Pethahiah, Judah, and Eliezer.
