Thus many of the Jewish residents of Jerusalem ¹  read this notice, ²  because the place where Jesus was crucified was near the city, and the notice was written in Aramaic, ³  Latin, and Greek.

There was also an inscription ¹  over him, “This is the king of the Jews.”

They ¹  came to a place called Golgotha ²  (which means “Place of the Skull”) ³

So ¹  when they came to the place that is called “The Skull,” ²  they crucified ³  him there, along with the criminals, one on his right and one on his left.
