All your commands are reliable. I am pursued without reason. ¹  Help me!

and make them a little less than the heavenly beings? ¹  You grant mankind ²  honor and majesty; ³ 

For you will extend your great loyal love to me, ¹  and will deliver my life ²  from the depths of Sheol. ³ 

And you, Capernaum, ¹  will you be exalted to heaven? ²  No, you will be thrown down to Hades! ³ 

because you will not leave my soul in Hades, ¹  nor permit your Holy One to experience ²  decay.

He said, “Tomorrow.” And Moses said, ¹  “It will be ²  as you say, ³  so that you may know that there is no one like the Lord our God.

Indeed ¹  Sheol does not give you thanks; death does not ²  praise you. Those who descend into the pit do not anticipate your faithfulness.

And in hell, ¹  as he was in torment, ²  he looked up ³  and saw Abraham far off with Lazarus at his side. ⁴ 

David by foreseeing this ¹  spoke about the resurrection of the Christ, ²  that he was neither abandoned to Hades, ³  nor did his body ⁴  experience ⁵  decay. ⁶ 

and the one who lives! I ¹  was dead, but look, now I am alive – forever and ever – and I hold the keys of death and of Hades! ² 

Then ¹  Death and Hades were thrown into the lake of fire. This is the second death – the lake of fire.

So Moses brought Aaron and his sons forward and washed them with water.

They live out ¹  their years in prosperity and go down ²  to the grave ³  in peace.

The underworld ¹  is naked before God; ²  the place of destruction lies uncovered. ³ 

He ¹  draws near to the place of corruption, and his life to the messengers of death. ² 

The ropes of Sheol tightened around me, ¹  the snares of death trapped me. ²
