the descendants of Shephatiah, 372;

Take my yoke ¹  on you and learn from me, because I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find rest for your souls.

“When ¹  an unclean spirit ²  goes out of a person, ³  it passes through waterless places ⁴  looking for rest but ⁵  does not find it.

And that you visit ¹  them every morning, and try ²  them every moment? ³ 

They live out ¹  their years in prosperity and go down ²  to the grave ³  in peace.

For they will quickly dry up like grass, and wither away like plants. ¹ 

Rest once more, my soul, ¹  for the Lord has vindicated you. ² 

I will not allow my eyes to sleep, or my eyelids to slumber,

Ascend, O Lord, to your resting place, you and the ark of your strength!

“When an unclean spirit ¹  goes out of a person, ²  it passes through waterless places ³  looking for rest but ⁴  not finding any. Then ⁵  it says, ‘I will return to the home I left.’ ⁶ 

And the smoke from their ¹  torture will go up ²  forever and ever, and those who worship the beast and his image will have ³  no rest day or night, along with ⁴  anyone who receives the mark of his name.”

He overlaid it with pure gold, inside and out, and he made a surrounding border ¹  of gold for it.

It is to be a Sabbath of complete rest for you, and you must humble yourselves. ¹  It is a perpetual statute. ² 

Listen carefully ¹  to the thunder of his voice, to the rumbling ²  that proceeds from his mouth.

He takes me to lush pastures, he leads me to refreshing water.

Better is one handful with some rest than two hands full of toil ¹  and chasing the wind.

though it never saw the light of day ¹  nor knew anything, ²  yet it has more rest ³  than that man –

The words of the wise are heard in quiet, more than the shouting of a ruler is heard ¹  among fools.

Fairness will produce peace ¹  and result in lasting security. ²
